Privacy policy

Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored in scrambled form, so we cannot read them. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google, never your Google password.
• Profile details (optional): phone number, age, gender, blood group, emergency contact and saved address.
• Requests and bookings: for an emergency bed request, the patient's name, contact number, age, gender, conditions you select (for example blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid, asthma), your description of the problem and the bed type. For appointments and tests, the details you choose and enter.
• Location: if you allow it, your browser shares your position so we can show nearby hospitals. It is kept in your own browser and is not saved on our servers.
• Hospital details: for hospitals, the facility's name, address, licence number, contacts, photos, doctors, departments and bed counts, plus the staff account that registered it.
• Technical data: basic information such as IP address and browser type, handled by our hosting provider to deliver and protect the service.

How we use it

• To create your account and verify your email address.
• To pass your requests to the hospital you choose and show you their status.
• To let hospitals manage their listing, and to let our administrators review new hospitals.
• To keep the service secure, fix problems and prevent misuse.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

• The hospital you send a request to can see the details in that request, including health information you chose to enter.
• HealYou administrators can access data as needed to run and support the service and to review hospital registrations.
• Service providers that run the service for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Cloudflare (hosting), an email delivery provider (verification codes) and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). They process data only to provide those services.
• Authorities, where the law requires us to share information.

Health information

Details such as age and medical conditions are sensitive. Enter only what is useful for the hospital to prepare for the patient. HealYou is not a medical record and does not give medical advice.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and booking history while your account is active, so you can see past requests. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time. We may keep limited records where the law requires it or where needed to resolve a dispute.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access controls, so patients, hospitals and administrators can only see what their role allows. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. You can also raise a complaint about how your information is handled. We aim to respond within a reasonable time, in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Write to us at info@healyou.in.

Children

HealYou is not meant for children to use on their own. If a patient is under 18, a parent or guardian should create the account and make the request.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be shown in the app.
